AI shocker!
What a shocker last night on AI!!! I’m on the fence, tho’. They are both really awesome singers, and based on the previous nights performances, I thought Katharine would be voted off – but she’s so damn pretty she has to stay!!! And Chris, although very talented, I was kinda bored watching him the other night…oh well…I’m Canadian…nothin’ I can do!
Painting away…
I started painting. I was going to wait until I was on vacation to start this, but I’m just so impatient!!! I started with Lauryn’s room. I have to take a picture of it, but don’t have any window treatments yet, so I thought I’d wait. The upper part of her walls are baby pink, of course, and the bottom half, I did in a lime and honeydew green color. Randomly alternating with thin and thick stripes. When I was done, I thought it was o.k. I searched for my daisy shaped stamp and stamped pink daisies on the top half. I am so glad the small pint of old left over pink was a few shades darker! It’s funny because although these daisies are supposed to have been places ‘randomly’, just as if they were blowing in the wind, I stamped strategically! Part of my anality, I guess. When I was done that, I remembered that she had these Princess adjustable-stick-on-wall-décor-thingamajigs that my parents gave on her birthday. ‘Put those up, and well, I have to say – I’m pretty happy with the end result. Lauryn was helping me put these stickers on and was focusing on 1 spot. I had to take a moment – inhale, exhale - and let her do it. It is HER room, after all…BUT since I put so much thought in to spacing of those daisies, I had to remove the stickers she put on and relocate them when she wasn’t looking...like, behind her door...I know, I know, I’m so mean...but I left some of them...don’t worry, I’ll take a picture.
I also started to repaint our room yesterday. I need to do another coat and pick up some accent color.
Does anyone have an EASY way to clean off paint from the roller brush??? I wish I could invent something that makes this job easy!
Strata
I put myself on our Strata Council at last night 1st meeting. Don’t know what I’ve gotten myself in to, but want to be involved in the decision making of where I live, thank you very much!
What else?
It’s Mother’s Day this weekend – and we don’t have any plans yet. Nick’s still out of town till tomorrow, so maybe we can plan something when he gets back…or maybe he already has something planned…???? It’s always hard because there’s ME, the most important woman in HIS life, who should get all the attention!!!…then his mom…then my mom…then my sister, who’s a soon-to-be-mom…do we celebrate together or separate?
We shall see.

I'm not shocked at all, if these idiots can re-elect george bush, then the same idiots can vote him off american idol as well. That's democracy at work for ya.
