my opinion...

After reading this post this morning, I must admit - I fell into that trend. Initially, my purpose was to get fit, and since it worked for Madonna, I figured it would work for me. I felt the pressure to get things the other women had and shop at stores I wouldn't normally shop at. Sad, but true, I also fell out of the trend. My poor yoga mat and cropped pants are collecting dust. But isn't this what society wants us to do?? Get in to a trend, spend money on it (sometimes too much money), then if it sticks, then good, but if it doesn't, no harm 'cause they've probably already made a profit off the band wagon jumpers.

It's like me and the gym. I really hate going. Period. I joined because they offered yoga classes. Now, I'm stuck with a 2 year membership. Every month, I see the withdrawal from my account. I might as well throw money straight in to the garbage. I know, I know...I should just go. And I will. Eventually.

on a lighter note
Whenever it gets close to Christmas, I crave mint chocolate. I've finally found the perfect bar! I've been searching for a while! I used to love those Laura Secord mint chocolate bars, but can't seem to find anyone selling them anymore. I'd be happy with those mint-chocolate girl guide cookies, but they haven't been soliciting yet...I've tried a bunch from mint Aero to Purdy's...and finally, one that is close enough to Laura Secord, is Cadbury. It's so creamy with just the right amount of mint! It's SO good!

neck creases
Ladies, do you moisturize your neck? Don't know if I can reverse the signs of aging on my neck, but maybe I should try!

  • Hi Bev - I was going to post a comment on your blog, but wasn't sure I had anything positive to say about the co-ed gyms...I used to go with Nick - it was good because we would go together, but we didn't work out together. There are too many people eyeing eachother!

  • Hi Mel - it's funny that i'm reading your blog at this moment b/c I just got in from jogging outside (figured may as well enjoy the sunshine before it snows again) ... I can relate to the gym aspect ... sometimes I wonder if I would work out more if I had some equipment @ home ... I'm trying to get a treadmill so I don't have any excuse not to work out. luv k.
