why do I bother?

In all my madness to be organized for our Winnipeg trip, I totally forgot to post about something funny that happened to me last week.

I decided to try to find a new dress for the party I am emceeing this weekend. I have this dress I was planning to wear, but when I tried it on, I swear I must have been PMSing because it was tight…which prompted my dress hunt…! I must have looked everywhere this past week!!! I went to every mall - I even went in to odd shops and this one ‘asian’ store in the mall because they had this pretty dress displayed in their window. I asked for the dress and said “in a medium, please”. The sales lady says to me…”oh – 1 size fit all…” O . K . !! So, I went in the the dressing room to try it on, and as expected, the zipper wouldn’t zip all the way up…I was like, c'mon...c'mon...it's gotta fit...it's a 1-size-fit-all...!!! Afraid of zipping my skin, I decided to give up. Besides, I was already starting to sweat. How could stores possibly sell “1-size-fits-all”??? I suppose I wasn’t considered part of “all” or else this dress would have fit me!!! I politely said to the lady, “no thanks, it’s too short” and left. Note to self - avoid this store in future.

Whatever.

Oh well, when I got home, I was going thru other clothes, and thought – the dress from Jeanette and Rodney’s wedding would work…I might have to just get it shortened. I could also wear the cream one, if worse came to worse…I decided to just wait on it for a few days. Last night, I decided to re-try the alleged ‘tight’ dress, and guess what? It fit again! Ohhh lawd!!! All that time wasted! Oh well – now I just have to accessorize, I guess!
